A Day in the Life of a Live-In Caregiver
Live-in caregiving is hands-on and relationship-based work. Typical duties and expectations include:
- Helping with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility/transfers
- Preparing meals suited to the care recipient's dietary needs, and light housekeeping connected to their care
- Companionship and daily engagement — conversation, accompanying the care recipient on walks or errands
- Medication reminders and basic health monitoring, and for specialised roles, tasks such as tube feeding or wound care
- Living in the employer's home for the duration of the contract, with accommodation and meals provided
This role suits candidates who are patient, comfortable with hands-on personal care, and genuinely interested in eldercare or supporting someone through recovery — not just domestic chores. Formal caregiving or nursing training is valued; willingness, communication, and a caring disposition matter just as much.

Requirements
- Experiences in Eldercare
- Any nursing qualification — Caregiver certificates, Nursing Aide certificates, Diploma in Nursing etc.
- Specialised skill sets such as NGT, Stoma Care, Suctioning etc.
- Open to candidates with prior experience in Singapore, Taiwan, or Hong Kong
Benefits
- Salary based on experiences, qualifications and language abiliities approximately S$650–S$1,200 per month
